PS Seasoning Donates Life Saving Machine to Community First Responders

PS Seasoning, a leading blender of specialty seasonings, announces a donation of a LUCAS CPR Device to the Iron Ridge Fire Department and First Responders. The donation will give first responders in the community critical life-saving resources.

LUCAS 3 is a mechanical chest compression system that provides high-quality chest compressions without interruption. Both portable and quick to apply, the electronic device works by providing continuous compressions which are critical to maintaining blood flow to save a sudden cardiac arrest patient’s brain, heart, and vital organs.

"We take great pride in our community," said Joe Hanni, president of PS Seasoning. As a third-generation former volunteer firefighter for the Iron Ridge Fire Department, Hanni is no stranger to the importance of this device. "We’re couldn’t be happier to provide additional resources to the outstanding First Responders we have here in our community. This machine will increase patient outcomes by providing lifesaving services efficiently and effectively.”

Because the machine does not get fatigued as a human can, it can deliver 100 compressions per minute with consistent depth and efficiency, including during transport of a patient or in areas where CPR is otherwise impossible. The device also frees up first responders to perform other critical emergency patient care, including intubation and transportation, all while providing compressions.

“We are deeply grateful to PS Seasoning and the Hanni family for this important contribution,” said Iron Ridge Fire Chief Jason Boeck. “This donation will make a significant impact on the work we do and the community we serve.”
