Name a better duo than cheese and pretzels! Made with our new homemade pretzel kits and rolled in cheddar you'll never eat boring pretzels again.
Ingredients
- 1 Box – PS Seasoning Pretzel Kit
- 2 ½ Cup – Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
Directions
- Follow the directions for the dough prep as indicated on the box but stop once the dough has risen. Add two cups of the shredded cheese into the dough for the final 2 minutes in the mixer.
- Instead of forming the dough into pretzels follow these directions.
- Cut the dough into 6 to 8 equal dough balls
- Get the baking soda and water mixture to a simmer and preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
- Form the dough balls into rolls, tucking the outer edge underneath to make even and smooth edges.
- Place the dough balls in the baking soda bath for 30 seconds, flipping ½ way through.
- Remove from the bath and gently pat the rolls dry with a paper towel.
- Place the doughs on a well-greased sheet tray, at least 2” apart. Top each dough with a pinch of the remaining shredded cheese.
- Place in the oven and bake for 12-14 minutes, rotating ½ way through and until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes before serving warm. Or allow to cool completely and use them as burger buns!
- Enjoy.
