Soon to be Wisconsin classic! We are known for our cheese curds and brats and we don’t want you to have to choose between them when you can have both! Stuff that brat with squeaky curds... and what would any meal be without bacon.. Wrap that baby up in bacon and get it on the grill. Time to drop the bomb, baste this brat in our Door County Cherry BBQ sauce and stick it on a bun! Talk about delicious!!!
Ingredients
-
1 Pkg Brats- Raw
-
8 Oz Cheese Curds
-
10 Slices Bacon
-
1 Cup Cherry Bomb Door County Cherry BBQ Sauce
-
5 Brat Buns
Directions
Pre heat grill to 250 degrees.
Using a sharp knife, slice into the brats from end to end, about ¾” deep. Then spread them open.
Stuff the brats with cheese curds, then reform the brat. (it’s ok if it doesn’t fully close back up)
Wrap each brat in two slices of bacon. (You can use a toothpick to help hold them together if needed. Just make sure to remove them before serving)
Place the brats on the grill and cook for 45-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 150 degrees.
Increase the heat to 400 degrees to crisp up the bacon and cook for 10-15 minutes or until desired crispiness.
Baste the brats with Cherry Bomb BBQ and sear for 2-3 minutes each side to caramelize.
Serve in the brat buns and enjoy!
