Ingredients
-
1 LB Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
-
1 Pint Buttermilk
-
4 Cup Flour
-
3 TB Black Gold Garlic Pepper Seasoning
-
4 Brioche Burger Buns
-
1 Cup Dill Pickle Chips
-
2 T Honey
-
1 T Yellow Mustard
-
2 t Dijon Mustard
-
1 t Lemon Juice
-
¼ Cup Mayo
-
2 T Blue Ribbon Competition Style BBQ Sauce
Directions
Preheat the fryer to 325 degrees.
Pour the buttermilk into a bowl. In another bowl, combine the flour and Black Gold seasoning.
Trim and clean the chicken thighs as needed. Bread the thighs one at a time. Place the chicken in the buttermilk and coat well. Then place it in the flour and coat well.
Place it back in the buttermilk to coat and then one more time in the flour. Set aside for frying and repeat this process with the remaining thighs.
Deep fry the chicken thighs until they are crispy, golden brown and have an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees.
To make the sauce, combine the honey, both mustards, lemon juice, mayo and Blue Ribbon BBQ in a bowl.
Toast the buns.
Build the sandwiches with pickles on the bottom, followed by the chicken, a drizzle of sauce and finally the top bun.
Enjoy!
