Ingredients
- 1 – Whole Chicken
- 1 Jar – Tailgater Ballpark Blend
- 1 Tallboy – Octoberfest Beer
Directions
- Set up your grill for offset cooking and preheat it to 350 degrees.
- Remove the chicken from the packaging and remove the giblets.
- Rinse the chicken if needed and then pat it dry with a paper towel.
- Season the chicken inside and out and on all sides, generously with Tailgater Ballpark Blend.
- Open the can of beer and pour an ounce or two into a cast iron pan.
- Stand up the can in the middle of the cast iron.
- Set the chicken on top of the can feeding it into the body of the chicken. The drumsticks should be down.
- Tuck the wings.
- Place the chicken on the grill over indirect heat.
- Cover and cook for 1-2 hours until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 near the thigh joints.
- Remove from the grill and cover with foil to rest for 15 minutes before carving.
- Serve with your favorite sauces and enjoy!
