Old Fashioned Brats

Ingredients
- 1 pkg – Brats (5)
- 6 – Maraschino Cherries
- 6 Shots – Bitters
- 2 – Sugar Cubes
- 3 Slice – Orange rind
- 1 Cup – Brandy
- ½ Cup – Sprite
- Brat buns, sauerkraut, mustard etc
Directions
- In a glass or mason jar, muddle the cherries, orange rind, sugar cubes and bitters until well mashed.
- Add the brandy and stir, top off with sprite.
- Place the brats in a strong ziplock bag and pour the old fashioned into the bag. Marinate for 3-4 hours.
- Remove the brat from the marinade and pour the remaining liquid into a saucepot.
- Place the sauce over medium low heat and reduce by ½.
- Pre heat grill and cook the brat until 155 degrees internal and to your liking.
- Place the brats on a bun with some sauerkraut and mustard. Finish them with a drizzle of the reduced old fashioned marinade.
