A tailgater burger, for tailgating. This is the Ultimate Tailgater Burger and it is a must eat! It will be a big bite!
Ingredients
-
2 Lb Ground Beef
-
2 T The Tailgater Ball Park Blend
-
4 Portabella Mushrooms- Cleaned
-
2 T Olive Oil
-
4 Slices- Swiss Cheese (or 1 Cup Shredded)
-
4 Leaf- Lettuce
-
4 Tomato Slices
-
4 Red Onion- Slices
-
1 T Buried Treasure Truffle Butter
-
1/2 Cup Mayo
-
4 Brioche Buns
Directions
Start your grill! (Any grill will work)
Divide the ground beef into 4 burgers. Pack tightly and form into burger patties. Season generously with tailgater Seasoning and set aside.
In a small bowl, mix mayo and Buried Treasure seasoning. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Clean the gills off the mushroom by gently scraping them off with a small spoon. Rub the mushrooms with the oil.
Grill the burgers over direct heat for 3-5 minutes each side, or until desired temp or doneness. Melt the swiss on the burger for the last minute of cooking.
While the burgers are cooking, grill your portabellas as well. They should take about 3 minutes each side, or until slightly tender.
Lightly grill your burger buns if desired. Spread 2 TB of the Buried Treasure Mayo on the bottom of each bun and place your lettuce, tomato and onion on the bun. Place the burger patty on the veggies and finish with the grilled portabella.
Tip: Poke a dimple in the middle of your burger patty so it doesn't turn into a meatball on the grill
