Old fashioned biscuits and gravy with a little bit of heat from our Hot Honey Bee Sting rub. You'll have everyone coming back for seconds and maybe thirds!
Ingredients
- 12 oz – Bacon
-
3 T – Reserved Bacon Fat
-
¼ C – Flour
-
2 C – Heavy Cream
-
¼ C – Buttermilk
-
1 ½ T – Bee Sting Hot Honey Rub
Directions
- Roughly chop the bacon and place it in a saucepot. Cook and render until the bacon is crispy.
- Drain the bacon but reserve the fat
- Add 3 TB of reserved bacon fat to the pan.
- Add ¼ Cup flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. This makes the roux to thicken the sauce.
- Slowly add the heavy cream while stirring to combine well.
- Bring to a simmer. Season Bee Sting Rub. Then add the ¼ cup of buttermilk.
- Reduce heat to simmer and add the cooked bacon
- Enjoy served over homemade biscuits.
