The perfect game day snack. It's like a corn dog but better! Beer battered brats dipped in your favorite sauce!
Ingredients
- 1 Pack – Beer Brats
-
2 C – Panko Breadcrumbs
-
2 C – Flour
- 2 – Eggs
-
2 t – Black Gold Garlic Pepper
- 12 oz – Beer (lager)
Beer Batter
Directions
- Preheat fryer to 325 degrees.
- Skewer the brats, lengthwise. Make sure to push the skewer mostly through the brat to keep it straight during cooking.
- Make the beer batter by whisking together the flour, Black Gold and eggs and then slowly adding the beer. Once you have a batter the thickness of pancake mix, you’re all set.
- Pour the breadcrumbs onto a plate.
- Dip the skewered brat into the beer batter and roll to fully coat the sausage.
- Then roll the battered brat in the panko and then gently place it in the fryer.
- Cook the brats for 12-15 minutes or until the internal temperature of the sausage reaches 160 degrees.
- Allow the brats to cool slightly before serving with your favorite mustard for dipping.
- Enjoy!
