Ingredients
- 5 – Jumbo Beef Hot Dogs
- 2 – Jalapenos
- 8 oz – Cream Cheese
- 1 Clove – Garlic
-
2 t – Bacon Bomb
-
¼ C – Panko Breadcrumbs
- 5 Slice – Thick cut Bacon
- ½ Bag – BBQ Potato Chips, crushed
-
½ C – Bee Sting Hot Honey BBQ Sauce
Directions
- Cut off the eds of the hot dogs to square them off, and then cut them into 1/3s
- Use a paring knife or apple corer to hollow out the dogs.
- In a food processor, combine the cream cheese, seeded jalapenos, garlic and bacon bomb.
- Blend until only slightly chucky. Add the panko only if the mixture seems like a liquid.
- Fill a pastry bag with the cream cheese mixture and pipe it into the hot dogs, filling them about 90%
- Cut the bacon into 1/3s and wrap each hot dog popper with a piece, securing it with a toothpick.
- Dip the open ends of the poppers into the crushed bbq chips.
- Place the poppers on a 250 degree grill or smoker and cook for about 45-50 minutes until the bacon starts to crisp.
- Baste very lightly with Bee Sting Hot Honey BBQ sauce and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Enjoy!
