Korean BBQ Sloppy Joes
Anything but basic, these sloppy joes get an upgrade with our sweet and tangy Korean BBQ Sauce.
Korean BBQ Sloppy Joes

1 1/4 lbs. | Ground Beef |
1/2 tsp | Sesame Oil |
1/2 | Red Onion, minced |
2 | Garlic Cloves, grated |
1 tsp |
Ginger, grated |
1/2 | Lime, zest |
1 1/2 tsp | Kosher Salt and Pepper |
3/4 cup | Black Belt Korean BBQ Sauce |
4 | Sesame Rolls, toasted |
Slaw | |
2 cups |
Slaw Mix |
1/2 | Lime, juiced |
1/2 T | Sesame Oil |
1/2 T | Rice Vinegar |
1 tsp |
Honey |
1/2 tsp | Kosher Salt & Pepper |
1 T | Cilantro, chopped |
2 | Scallions, sliced |
1 tsp | Sesame Seeds, toasted |
Instructions:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat/flame.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart into large crumbles, with a wooden spoon. Brown for 5 minutes, then strain excess fat. To the hot skillet add sesame oil, then stir in the red onion, garlic, ginger, lime zest, and Seoul Train. Sauté for 1 minute, to soften onions, then add cooked beef and Black Belt. Stir mixture, occasionally, for 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Meanwhile, prepare the slaw: In a mixing bowl, whisk together lime juice, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, Seoul Train, and cilantro. Stir in the slaw mix, then set aside.

Assemble the sloppy Joes: Bottom bun, slaw mix, beef, scallions, sesame seeds, top bun. Serve warm.
