We are taking a Wisconsin classic cocktail and turning it in to a fun party appetizer! Old Fashioned Brie Bites in a crispy crescent shell stuffed with bourbon flavored cherries and creamy brie might replace your drink! But, go big or go home not have both.
Ingredients
-
1Wheel – Brie (8oz)
-
1 Roll Crescent Rolls
-
1 C Dried Cherries
-
3 Oz Bourbon
-
4 Shots Bitters
-
4 Oz – 7Up
-
½ tsp On The Rock Bourbon Pepper
Directions
In a small saucepan, combine the cherries, bourbon and 7Up. Place over medium/high heat and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce the heat and maintain a low simmer until the liquid is absorbed into the cherries.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes before blending the mixture into a thick paste.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Lightly spray a mini-muffin pan with cooking spray.
Lay out the crescent roll dough and pinch all the seams to seal.
Cut the dough into 24 pieces and place one piece of dough into each mini-muffin cup.
Place the brie on top of the crescent pieces and then top with a small dollop of the cherry paste.
Top the bites with a crack of On The Rocks.
Place in the oven for 15 minutes or until the dough is slightly browned.
