Ingredients

16 Oz. Cod- 4 Oz Pieces

1 Cup + 1/4 Cup Flour

1 T Tackle Box Fish Seasoning

12 Oz Beer- Ale, Pilsner, Light

1 Cup Mayo

1 T Pickle Relish- or Small Diced Pickles

1/2 t Tackle Box Fish Seasoning

1/2 t Dill- Chopped

1/2 t Lemon Juice
Directions
Preheat deep fryer to 350 degrees.
Make the tartar sauce by combining ½ tsp Tackle Box, mayo, pickle relish, dill and lemon juice. Set aside.
In a bowl, whisk the beer, 1 TB tackle box fish seasoning and 1 cup of flour together until smooth.
Pat the fish dry with paper towel.
In a separate bowl place the ¼ cup of flour.
Dredge the fish in the flour and then place in the beer batter, making sure it is fully submerged.
With just your fingertips, grab one end of a piece of fish. Allow to excessive batter to drip off. Slowly submerge ¾ of the piece of fish in the fryer while still holding onto it above the oil.
Once the batter starts to set, very gently, allow the fish to fully submerge in the oil. Shake the basket gently to make sure the fish does not stick.
Cook for 6-8 minutes or until the batter is a golden brown and the internal temperature of the fish reaches 155 degrees.
Lift fryer basket and allow to drip dry for 1 minute.
Place the fried fish on a plate lined with paper towel and allow to rest for 2-3 minutes before eating.
Serve with lemon Tartar sauce. wedges, french fries, coleslaw and rye bread and butter.
