Ingredients
- 24 OZ – Button Mushroom
- 2 TB – Butter
- 2 Sprig – Thyme

2 TB – Umami Butter Burger Seasoning
- 2 TB - Flour
- 2 Cup – Beef Broth
- 1 LB – Cheese Curds
- 1 TB - Oil
- 1 ½ Cup – Flour
- 3 – Eggs
- 3 Cup – Panko Breadcrumbs
- 1 – Onion
- 2 TB – Butter
- 1 ½ LB – Tater Tots
- Chopped Parsley for Garnish
Directions
- Roughly chop the mushrooms and place them in a saucepot with 2 TB of butter. Place over medium heat and cook the mushrooms until they are tender and have released their moisture.
- Julienne the onions and place in a skillet with 2 TB of butter.
- Place the skillet over medium/low heat stirring occasionally to caramelize the onions.
- While the mushrooms and onions are cooking, bread the cheese curds.
- Toss the cheese curd in oil, and then dredge in flour.
- Beat the eggs in a bowl and then drop the dredged curd into the eggs.
- After the eggs, crust the curds in panko.
- Place the breaded cheese curd in the freezer to firm up.
- Add flour to the mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add in beef broth and thyme, bring to a simmer.
- Season the gravy with Umami Butter to your liking.
- Heat your fryer to 375 degrees.
- Fry the tater tots until crispy.
- Fry the cheese curds until golden brown.
- Build the poutine.
- Place the tater tots in a basket or bowl and top with a handful of cheese curds.
- Top with caramelized onions, mushroom gravy and then garnish with chopped parsley.
- Enjoy!
